Glaucoma’s Impact on Vision

Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, often due to increased pressure in the eye called intraocular pressure (IOP). This damage can lead to irreversible vision loss and even blindness if left untreated. As glaucoma progresses gradually, it might not cause noticeable symptoms in the early stages, making regular eye examinations crucial for early detection and intervention.
